Description
This lot consists of two fixed-blade knives, each with an associated leather sheath. The first item is a dagger-style knife featuring a pattern-welded Damascus steel blade with a double-edged spear point. The handle is composed of a central off-white bone or synthetic section accented by multi-colored spacers in red, green, blue, and yellow, finished with a brass crossguard and pommel. It includes a black leather sheath with white contrast stitching and a snap-closure retaining strap. The second item is a hunting knife with a clip point blade featuring a serrated spine and a single fuller on both sides. The handle is made of a contoured black synthetic material with finger grooves, a brass guard, and a brass pommel cap with red spacers. It is accompanied by a brown leather sheath with belt loops and a snap fastener. No maker marks or tang stamps are visible on either knife.
Condition report:
The Damascus dagger is in good overall condition with light tarnish present on the brass components. The hunting knife shows significant signs of wear and use, including scratches, scuffing, and areas of oxidation and pitting on the blade. The brass hardware on the hunting knife exhibits tarnish, and verdigris is visible on the metal snap and rivets of the brown leather sheath. Both leather sheaths show signs of age and handling.
