Description
This limited edition offset lithograph by wildlife artist Allen Hughes is titled Cypress Swamp Woodies. The composition depicts three wood ducks in flight, navigating through the stark, leafless branches of a cypress swamp during the winter season. The print is hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin and includes a printed signature within the plate. It is hand-numbered in pencil as Artists Proof, Edition 8/1250 in the lower right. The title is visible through a specialized step-cut window in the double matting. The piece is professionally framed in a dark-stained wood frame under glass. The reverse features a brown paper dust cover with a label from Fine Finishes & Frameworks, located in Greenville, North Carolina. No ruler is present in the images to provide exact dimensions.
Condition report:
The artwork and frame appear to be in good condition. The print shows no visible evidence of foxing, fading, or moisture damage. The matting is clean and well-aligned. The frame exhibits minor surface wear consistent with age and handling. The piece has not been examined out of the frame.
