Description
A limited edition offset lithograph on paper titled The Gathering by American artist Lee LeBlanc (1913-1988). The scene depicts a group of wild turkeys in a late autumn forest landscape along a stream. The print is hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin and hand-numbered 92/800 in pencil in the lower left margin. A printed signature and copyright mark are also visible within the plate. The piece is housed in a dark-stained wood frame with a textured linen-style mat and a burnt-orange inner border. Affixed to the reverse is a Certificate of Authenticity from Petersen Sporting Prints dated November 25, 1981, which indicates the edition was printed by Gore Graphics on archival paper. The backing also features an artist biography and a retailer label from Richard Hunt Guns and Ammo of West Virginia.
Condition report:
The print and frame are in good overall condition. The artwork appears well-preserved within the frame with no visible signs of foxing or paper degradation. The frame is structurally sound with minor surface wear. There are some tears and punctures to the brown paper dust cover on the reverse.
