Description
This two-piece covered dish, often referred to as a Rabbit on Nest, is manufactured by the Imperial Glass Corporation. The lid is molded in the form of a seated rabbit with detailed fur texture and upright ears. The base consists of a circular bowl featuring a molded basket-weave pattern and a stylized braided rim. The piece is crafted from white milk glass with an all-over iridescent finish, commonly known as an aurora borealis or pearl coating, providing a luminous sheen. The interior of the base features the embossed stylized I over G maker mark used by the Imperial Glass Corporation of Bellaire, Ohio.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor manufacturing mold seams and slight variations in the iridescent coating are present, which are typical for pressed glass of this type. Light shelf wear is visible on the bottom contact point.
