Description

This collection consists of three varied decorative and utilitarian objects. The first is an art glass bowl made of opaque pale yellow glass, commonly known as custard glass. It features a molded base and a hand-crimped, ruffled rim. The interior is decorated with hand-painted floral sprays in tones of red, purple, and blue with green foliage. The style and execution are characteristic of mid-20th-century American art glass manufacturers such as Fenton. The second item is a wooden two-compartment caddy featuring a central divider with an integrated cutout handle. The side and end panels are designed with scalloped top edges, and the piece features a dark, aged finish. The third item is a small, circular lidded pot composed of a non-ferrous metal, possibly pewter. It includes a fitted domed lid with a vertical tab finial and a dark wire swing handle attached to side lugs. No maker marks were identified on any of the items.

Condition report:

The glass bowl is in good condition without visible chips or cracks; there is minor wear to the hand-painted decoration. The wooden caddy shows significant wear, including finish loss, scratches, and dings throughout consistent with utilitarian use. The metal pot exhibits surface oxidation, minor pitting, and light scratches consistent with age and use.
