Description
This lot consists of two decorative vessels: a glazed ceramic chalice and a textured art glass vase. The ceramic chalice features a flared bowl, cylindrical stem, and a circular stepped foot. It is finished in a glossy dark brown glaze and decorated with two hand-painted gold-tone crosses on the bowl. The underside of the foot is unglazed, revealing a light tan ceramic body. The art glass vase is of baluster form with a wide flared rim and a tapering body. It is crafted from opaque black glass and features a textured, iridescent grit application in shades of metallic purple, pink, and copper. This decoration is applied in a broad, abstract diagonal band across the body. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good condition. The ceramic chalice shows no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The art glass vase displays no significant surface wear or structural damage.
