Description
This lot consists of an assortment of vintage kitchenware and utilitarian items. Included is a galvanized metal hand grater embossed with the words RAPID and PAT. APP D. on the upper portion. A small piece of red and white gingham fabric is tied through the circular hanging hole at the top of the grater. The collection features a group of wooden rolling pins of varying styles and lengths. Some of the rolling pins feature natural wood handles with decorative turned details, while others are finished with red-painted handles in tapered, ribbed, and bulbous shapes. The wood shows varied tones and grain patterns. Also included is a rectangular woven wood splint basket with a dark brown stain. The basket features metal U-shaped hardware on the sides and contains a decorative five-pointed star made of rusted metal attached to a flat metal stem.
Condition report:
Items are in good vintage condition showing signs of age and previous use. The metal grater exhibits a naturally aged patina with areas of oxidation. The wooden rolling pins show surface scratches, minor staining, and characteristic wear to the paint on the handles. The woven basket is structurally sound but is missing its original handle.
