Description
A large clear molded glass display jar designed in a barrel motif with embossed vertical staves and horizontal banding. The shoulder of the jar is embossed with the word PLANTERS in capitalized block lettering. The body features four embossed depictions of the mascot Mr. Peanut in various active poses, including walking with a cane and running. The matching glass lid features a handle molded in the shape of a textured peanut shell. The word PLANTERS is embossed twice in a circular pattern on the lid surface. This type of vessel is associated with mid-20th century general store displays and commemorative releases.
Condition report:
The jar and lid are in excellent condition. The glass is clear and bright. No visible chips, cracks, or significant surface abrasions are noted. Embossed details remain sharp and well-defined.
