Description
This is a contemporary miniature model of an American farm windmill manufactured by Aero Mfg. Co. LLC of Geneva, Nebraska. The piece is constructed with a four-sided lattice tower made of galvanized sheet metal, featuring diagonal X-bracing and a fixed ladder on one side. The multi-blade fan assembly is also made of galvanized metal and includes a central hub decorated with a red-and-white concentric circle target decal. The gearbox housing and the boom supporting the tail vane are painted red. The tail vane functions as a directional guide and serves as a branding surface. The model is designed in the style of a traditional salesman’s sample.
The tail vane features the following printed text:
Top line: Model No. 12-B, a five-pointed star, and OILON Bearing
Center: AERO in large red serif lettering with a registered trademark symbol
Bottom line: AERO MFG. CO. LLC, GENEVA, NEBR.
Height: 17 inches.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent, like-new condition. The galvanized finish remains bright with no signs of corrosion or oxidation. The red paint on the gearbox and boom is intact, and the printed text and graphics on the tail vane are sharp and vibrant with no evidence of fading or wear. All structural components are straight and securely fastened.
