Description

This is a scale model of a farm windmill produced as an advertising and promotional display piece for the Jamesway Manufacturing Company of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The physical structure of the model corresponds to the Aero 12-B design, which was frequently utilized for salesman samples or retail showroom displays. The four-sided lattice-style tower is constructed from galvanized sheet metal strips fastened with small bolts and nuts. The multi-blade rotor features a galvanized finish with a red painted concentric ring bullseye design on the central hub. The gearbox chassis and the support arm for the tail vane are finished in red paint. The trapezoidal tail vane is made of galvanized metal and features a prominent multi-colored Jamesway decal. This decal includes the brand name in a blue banner, the text Equipment and Housing in the upper red border, and the slogan More Milk, Eggs, Meat in the lower border. Small text within the logo indicates Trade Mark and Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.

Condition report:

The item is in very good condition. The galvanized metal surfaces remain bright, with minor surface oxidation and light yellowish discoloration noted on some of the tower cross-bracing. The red paint on the hub and vane assembly is well-preserved. The Jamesway decal on the tail vane is crisp and vibrant, showing no significant peeling, bubbling, or fading.
