5.28.26 MAY ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 270:
Description
A vintage two-piece covered candy dish crafted in translucent lime green pressed glass. The design features a lid modeled in the form of a sitting hen with detailed plumage, a prominent comb, and a wattle, finished with a stippled or pebbled texture on the body. The corresponding oval base has a matching stippled exterior and a rim finished with a continuous beaded pattern. While the form and texture are characteristic of the Indiana Glass Company’s Hen on a Nest pattern, a small circular mark located on the center of the base is present but not clearly legible. Produced in the United States, mid-20th century.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent vintage condition with no visible chips, cracks, or surface wear. The beaded rim and inner flanges are intact.
