Description
This is a two-piece decorative covered dish in the classic hen on nest form, crafted from purple glass with a frosted satin finish.. The set consists of a molded lid in the shape of a nesting hen and a matching base. The lid features detailed feathering on the body and a scalloped, textured tail. The base is decorated with a basketweave pattern on the exterior and finished with a prominent beaded rim. The interior of the bowl is smooth and translucent. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on either piece.
Dimensions: Approximately 5.5 to 7 inches in length.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant scratches. The frosted satin finish appears uniform across both the lid and the base.
