Description
This Fenton Art Glass bowl is crafted from opaque lime-green custard glass with a matte satin finish. The glass contains uranium, which causes the piece to fluoresce bright green under ultraviolet light. The interior of the bowl is decorated with an embossed pattern featuring clusters of fruit and foliage, identifying the Cherry Chain pattern. The exterior displays the Orange Tree pattern. The vessel features a wide, crimped, and ruffled rim and rests on a low, circular pedestal base. An impressed oval mark with the Fenton name in script is visible on the underside of the foot.
Condition report:
The bowl appears to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. There is noticeable dark surface soiling and debris concentrated along the wavy rim and within the interior basin.
