Description
This is a fan-shaped pedestal vase produced by the Fenton Art Glass Company. The item is crafted from lime green custard glass with a satin finish. This specific glass type contains uranium, which causes the piece to exhibit a vivid green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. The exterior features the molded Lovebirds pattern, depicting two birds perched on a fruiting branch surrounded by leafy vines. The upper edge is finished with a scalloped, beaded rim. The underside of the rectangular pedestal base bears an embossed oval Fenton maker mark, which was utilized by the company beginning in the 1970s.
Condition report:
The vase is in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor dark surface scuffs and traces of light soil are present on the interior and along the edges of the base, consistent with age and previous use.
