Description
An amber pressed glass Hen on Nest covered dish attributed to the Indiana Glass Company. This two-piece set consists of a lid molded in the shape of a nesting hen and a matching oval base. The hen lid features detailed feathering on the wings and tail, with a stippled texture applied to the breast and head. The coordinating base exhibits a matching stippled exterior texture and is finished with a decorative beaded or pearl rim. The interior of both pieces is smooth, and there are no embossed maker’s marks or signatures present on the glass.
Length: Approximately 7 inches.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible. Minor shelf wear is present on the bottom of the base, consistent with age and typical use.
