Description
This two-piece pressed glass covered dish features a nesting hen figure and is attributed to the Indiana Glass Company. The piece is composed of green glass finished with a strong iridescent carnival glaze, showing highlights of gold, blue, and violet. The lid is molded with textured feathers and a defined head, while the base features a basketweave pattern with a beaded rim. A faint circular maker’s mark is visible on the upper back of the hen lid, though the characters within the seal are not clearly legible.
