Description
This two-piece lidded dish is crafted in iridescent blue carnival glass, showing characteristics attributed to the Indiana Glass Company. The set includes a lid molded in the form of a seated hen with detailed feathering on the body and tail. The base features a basketweave texture on the exterior and a rim finished with a continuous border of raised beads. The glass exhibits a translucent blue base with a multi-colored metallic iridescence showing highlights of gold, magenta, and green. A circular textured area is present on the top of the hen’s back.
Condition report:
Good condition overall. Minor surface wear consistent with age and use. Small chips and minute roughness are visible along the interior mating edges of both the lid and the base. No major cracks or repairs are noted.
