Description
This wooden baseball bat features a center brand mark within an oval border containing the text SELECT QUALITY above a cursive J.C. Higgins signature, followed by the words TRADE MARK and the number 1718. The barrel is further stamped with RALPH KINER MODEL and Leaguer in a stylized script font. Constructed from wood with a dark, aged patina, the bat tapers from a rounded barrel end to a handle ending in a standard circular knob. The markings are stamped directly into the wood surface.
Condition report:
The bat shows evidence of significant use and age-related wear. Visible condition issues include surface scuffs, dings, and impact impressions across the barrel and handle sections. There is finish loss and general surface abrasion throughout. The wood has developed a dark, aged patina. No structural cracks or repairs were observed during inspection.
