Description
An assortment of mid-century novelty salt and pepper shakers. The lot includes a set of Gemco Pantry Pops shakers featuring blue faceted plastic bodies and green screw-on lids. These shakers retain their original paper labels identifying them as Mini Salt and Mini Pepper, with one shaker also bearing a gold-tone souvenir sticker for Tucson, Arizona. Also included is an ice cream cone-themed set, consisting of one chocolate-brown and one cream-colored plastic scoop atop translucent amber waffle-patterned cone bodies, presented on a central orange plastic stand. Completing the collection is a pair of avocado green rectangular shakers decorated with a transfer-printed floral motif in yellow, white, and orange. All pieces are constructed from molded plastic.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of age and use consistent with its vintage nature. Observable conditions include light surface scuffs, minor scratches, and small areas of residue. The paper labels on the Gemco shakers exhibit yellowing and minor edge wear. The floral decoration on the green shakers remains largely intact with only minor fading.
