Description
Framed industrial commemorative print commissioned by the Consolidation Coal Company. The photographic image depicts a group of miners at the entrance to the Franklin Mine in eastern Ohio and was produced as part of a numbered corporate safety series titled The Best in the Business. The work is housed in an ornate gilded foliate frame.
Condition report:
Small chips and losses to the gilt finish are present at the bottom mitered corners of the frame. The print displays even age-related toning across the sheet, and some surface dust is visible behind the glass along the bottom margin.
