Description
A pair of lidded cream-colored earthenware pitchers produced by the Crooksville China Company, each bearing a reddish-orange printed mark on the base reading “PANTRY BAK-IN by WARE Crooksville”. These Art Deco vessels feature angular forms decorated with polychrome floral decals and silver luster trim.
Condition report:
Both pitchers exhibit extensive all-over crazing to the glaze with areas of localized staining to the crazed lines (photos 2 and 3). Minor rubbing wear is visible to the silver luster trim on the handles and rims (photo 6).
