Description
Vintage American folk art sculpture of a standing chief carved from polychrome wood. The figure is secured to a rectangular stone base.
Condition report:
Extensive paint loss and flaking is visible across the polychrome finish (photo 1, 2). Significant vertical structural splits are present in the wood, primarily affecting the lower legs and base (photo 1). Moss and lichen growth are present on the head and shoulders, with erosion noted on the stone plinth (photo 2).
