Description
A mid-century cast stone garden sculpture depicting a standing fawn on an integral rectangular base. The figure features a naturalistic form with upright ears and remnants of a polychrome painted finish.
Condition report:
The statue exhibits significant weathering and erosion consistent with long-term outdoor exposure. There is extensive loss and flaking to the painted surface throughout (photo 1 and 2). Widespread biological growth including moss and lichen staining is present on the head and back (photo 1). The tip of the tail appears to have a small chip or break (photo 2).
