Description
This is a vintage pressed amber glass lidded pedestal candy dish, identified as the Zodiac pattern. The piece features a hexagonal form with twelve embossed panels—six on the body and six on the domed lid—depicting various astrological signs. Each panel displays a representational figure along with its corresponding symbol (such as Virgo and Sagittarius) and decorative scrollwork against a stippled background. The lid is finished with a scalloped edge and a large ornate pressed-glass finial. The jar is supported by a short stem on a matching hexagonal footed base. This specific pattern was manufactured by the Imperial Glass Corporation for Tiara Exclusives during the 1970s. No manufacturer marks are visible in the provided photographs.
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface scratches. The edges of the lid and the base appear to be intact.
