Description
This lot features three collectible art glass bells produced by the Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The first bell is an Ohio Bicentennial commemorative piece made of clear pressed glass with a hammered or thumbprint texture and a faceted handle. It is decorated with etched or sandblasted designs depicting a guitar, a quilt block, and an open book, and is inscribed with Ohio 1803-2003 and Culture. It retains its original silver-tone manufacturer label. The second bell is crafted from opaque ebony glass with a high-gloss finish, hand-painted with a floral motif featuring golden-tan leaves and blue-gray flowers with a thin gold-tone band at the shoulder. The third bell is made of pale yellow custard or satin glass with a matte finish, hand-painted with a winter landscape scene including a snow-covered house, evergreen trees, and a red bow with holly. All three bells are finished with a scalloped rim. The lot includes one original silver-colored Fenton storage box featuring the script F logo.
Condition report:
All three bells appear to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or surface abrasions. The hand-painted decorations remain vibrant and intact. The original silver foil label is present on the commemorative bell. The included box shows minor shelf wear consistent with age.
