Description
A hand-blown glass pitcher produced by the Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia. The body is constructed from white opalescent glass featuring a diamond optic lattice pattern. The vessel is designed with a deeply crimped and ruffled cranberry glass rim, a style known as a pink crest, and a matching applied ribbed cranberry glass handle. The exterior is decorated with a hand-painted floral motif consisting of stylized pink blossoms with blue dotted centers and green foliage.
The underside of the base is hand-signed in green script: Fenton hand Painted By K. Kupardus. This indicates the piece was decorated by Fenton artist Karen Kupardus. The pitcher retains its original two-sided paper hang tag. One side displays a silhouette of a glassblower with the text FENTON Glass Artistry in the Making RINGING. The reverse side features the Fenton logo and the text FENTON HANDMADE IN THE U.S.A. WILLIAMSTOWN, WV 26187.
Condition report:
This item is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is minor surface dust present within the folds of the ruffled rim consistent with age and display.
