6.25.26 JUNE ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 209:
Description
This lot contains a pair of blue opalescent glass bowls featuring a classic hobnail pattern. Both pieces are attributed to the Fenton Art Glass Company and reflect American mid-century decorative styles. The set consists of one large centerpiece bowl and one smaller matching dish, both designed with double-crimped ruffled rims and footed circular bases. The glass exhibits a translucent turquoise-blue color throughout the body, while the raised hobs and scalloped edges are finished with a distinct milky white opalescence. No maker’s marks or labels were identified during inspection, which is typical for Fenton pieces of this era that were originally issued with paper stickers.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition. Minor surface dust and small spots of grime are visible in the recesses of the hobs and crimped edges, likely removable with gentle cleaning. No chips, cracks, or repairs are evident.
