Description
This collection consists of thirteen miniature decorative items, primarily crafted from glazed porcelain with transfer-printed and hand-painted decorations, along with one pressed glass piece. The porcelain items include a pitcher and basin set featuring an eighteenth-century romantic scene and gold-painted rims; a footed leaf-shaped dish decorated with violet blossoms and a gilt handle; and a pink-glazed cabinet vase with a high-relief applied rose. The lot also contains a pair of shell-shaped cellars with pierced borders, inscribed SALT and PEPPER in gold-tone script; four decorative bells with various motifs including a fox hunt scene, white doves, and floral bouquets; a miniature teacup and saucer with burgundy floral sprigs; and two porcelain figurines depicting a Dutch girl with a water yoke and a dancer in a white dress. Completing the set are a twin-handled miniature planter with a blue landscape transfer and a heart-shaped lidded box in pressed colorless glass featuring a textured hobnail pattern. No manufacturer marks or factory stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces of these items.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition. Visible wear is present on the gold-gilt highlights of several pieces, which is consistent with age and handling. A small chip is noted on a leaf of the applied rose on the pink porcelain vase. The remaining pieces appear to be free of significant cracks, repairs, or other notable damage upon visual inspection.
