Description
This is a taxidermy shoulder mount of a mature North American White-tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus) buck. The specimen features a symmetrical eight-point antler rack, with four points on each side. The mount is professionally posed with the head turned toward the specimen’s right and tilted slightly upward in a lifelike manner. The construction utilizes a standard taxidermy form, featuring dark glass eyes and a realistically finished black nose and mouth area. The pelage consists of short, coarse hair in typical shades of brown and tan, with characteristic white markings around the eyes, snout, and throat. The ears are positioned in a natural, alert posture. No maker’s marks, taxidermy labels, or provenance tags are visible on the exterior of the mount.
Condition report:
The specimen is in good, well-preserved condition. The fur is clean and intact, showing no visible signs of balding, shedding, or pest infestation. The antler rack is securely mounted with natural color and texture. The glass eyes are clear, and the skin around the nose and eyes shows no cracking or shrinkage.
