Description
This taxidermy shoulder mount features a mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) in an alert, forward-facing pose. The specimen displays a substantial bifurcated antler rack. The coat is composed of natural greyish-brown fur with characteristic large ears and a white throat patch. The reverse of the mount retains a business card identifying the maker as Martyn’s Taxidermy Services, located in Sundre, Alberta. The mount is constructed on a standard taxidermy form with glass eyes.
Condition report:
The mount appears to be in good structural condition. Minor hair shedding is visible on the black fabric backing material as seen in close-up photographs.
