Lot 82:
Description
This lot consists of two vintage fur accessory components. The first item is a rectangular panel of let-out mink fur in a chocolate brown color with dark vertical stripes. The reverse side of the panel shows the raw skin and the intricate zig-zag machine and hand-stitching used in the let-out construction process. Several blue ink stamps are visible on the skin side, including a triangular mark containing the letters DSKRT, along with the phrases BLUE SHADE and BEIGE SHADE. A smaller matching fur fragment is loosely attached to one corner of the panel. The second item is a shaped and padded fur collar featuring long-haired variegated fur in natural tones of brown, tan, and cream, characteristic of fox or raccoon. The underside is finished with a dark brown quilted fabric lining. This collar does not feature integrated closures or fasteners.
Condition report:
The mink panel appears supple but shows wear along the edges and has a partially detached fragment. The long-haired collar is in overall good condition with no significant shedding or bald spots, though there are loose threads visible on the quilted lining.
