6.13.26 SPORTSMAN AUCTION
Lot 77:
Description
This collection features North American whitetail deer antlers mounted on wooden display plaques. The specimens exhibit various sizes and tine configurations, including multi-point racks. The plaques are constructed from dark-stained oriented strand board (OSB) cut into a shield-shaped silhouette. Several mounts consist of paired antlers attached via a natural skull cap, while other individual antlers are secured to the plaques using visible metal screw hardware. The collection includes both symmetrical racks and individual antler specimens. No maker marks, labels, or taxidermy stamps are visible on the plaques or the antler bone.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of age and previous display. There is a heavy accumulation of dust and cobwebs across the antlers and mounting plaques. The dark stain on the OSB plaques exhibits surface wear, scratches, and some fading. Some antlers show natural weathering and minor surface abrasions. The mounting hardware on some specimens appears aged with signs of light oxidation.
