Description
This lot features a vintage baitcasting rod and reel combination. The rod is a Cotton Cordell Easy Touch Graphite model ET6M, measuring 6 feet in length with a medium power rating. The blank is marked 96% GRAPHITE, 10-17 LB. Line, and 1/4-5/8 OZ. Lure. It bears the inscription MADE IN ARKANSAS U.S.A. BY COTTON CORDELL. The rod is fitted with a cork grip and a black plastic reel seat with a trigger grip. The reel is a Shimano Bantam 100 baitcasting model with a silver-toned finish. Side plate markings include SHIMANO, Bantam 100, and Designed for Professionals alongside a decorative crest. The reel features a double paddle handle and a star drag.
Rod length: 6 feet.
Condition report:
The rod and reel show visible signs of age and previous field use. There is accumulated dust and grime on the rod blank, guides, and reel seat. The cork handle exhibits darkening and wear from use. The reel has surface scratches and light residue. The mechanical condition is untested.
