Description
This limited edition photomechanical print after a watercolor original by R.J. McDonald depicts mallard ducks in flight through an autumnal swamp. The central composition features a large mallard drake in the foreground, with several others descending through a wooded landscape of cypress-like trees over dark, reflective water. The work is signed in the plate at the upper right R.J. McDonald ©85 and is hand-numbered in graphite in the lower right margin as 910/950. The print is presented in a stained wood frame with a double mat in tan and forest green. A silver foil label on the brown paper backing identifies the source as Petersen Prints of Los Angeles, California.
Condition report:
The print appears to be in overall good condition with no visible signs of foxing, staining, or water damage. Some light toning to the paper may be present due to age. The frame shows minor surface scuffs and shelf wear along the edges. The backing paper is intact.
