Description
A two-piece knife set from The Original Kentucky Cutlery Company, consisting of a fixed-blade hunting knife and a two-blade folding pocket knife. The fixed-blade knife features a trailing-point blade made of 440 stainless steel, etched with the maker oval logo. The tang is stamped with model number 171023, 440 STAINLESS STEEL, DESIGNED IN USA, and HANDCRAFTED IN CHINA. The handle is constructed with amber and brown jigged bone-style synthetic scales, secured with two brass pins, and includes a lanyard hole at the pommel. The folding pocket knife is a trapper pattern with two stainless steel blades, including a clip-point master blade and a spey secondary blade. The master blade features the same etched company logo, and the tang is marked STAINLESS and CHINA. The pocket knife handle is finished with matching synthetic scales, nickel-silver bolsters, brass pins, and a circular brass-tone shield depicting a horse and rider with the name Kentucky. This set is housed in a black cardboard presentation box with a custom-cut foam interior.
Condition report:
Both knives appear to be in excellent, unused condition. The blades retain their original factory edges with no visible signs of sharpening, wear, or use. The presentation box exhibits minor shelf wear.
