Description
A trio of glass elephant figurines manufactured by Mosser Glass. The collection consists of one large opalescent glass elephant with an iridescent finish and two cobalt blue glass elephants of varying sizes. Each figurine is modeled in a standing position with its trunk raised. The large opalescent elephant is made of molded glass and features a prominent iridescent coating; the underside of its rear leg bears an embossed mark of a capital M within a shield. The larger cobalt blue elephant is identical in mold and form to the opalescent figure. The smallest elephant is crafted from cobalt blue glass with a ribbed, textured body and is attached to an integral molded oval base. This small figure features an embossed capital M on the side of the base, while the underside of the base is decorated with a molded starburst pattern.
Condition report:
All three figurines are in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The iridescent finish on the opalescent elephant is well-preserved and exhibits no significant wear.
