Description
This vintage wind-up toy features a cartoonish elephant figure standing upright. The body is constructed of light blue molded plastic, and the figure is decorated with painted yellow overalls that feature a single-button strap on the back. Design details include a raised trunk, large ears with pink-tinted interiors, and red eyes with painted black eyelashes. The toy is mounted on a metal base plate equipped with two tan plastic feet and a black metal butterfly-style wind-up key on the right side. The overall form and color scheme are characteristic of mid-20th-century plastic novelty toys. No manufacturer’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the exterior of the item.
Condition report:
The toy shows moderate wear consistent with age and play. Visible surface soiling and dust are present across the body. There are areas of minor paint loss on the yellow overalls and the pink ear highlights. The plastic body exhibits slight discoloration and minor scuffing in several areas.
