Description
This vintage die-cut cardboard countertop standee features an illustration of a clown balancing on a circus ball. The figure is depicted in a green jumpsuit decorated with yellow polka dots and black bird motifs, a large ruffled collar with red trim, and a conical hat with sunburst designs. The clown balances a tray in his right hand containing a large dessert topped with red berries. The clown stands atop a blue ball detailed with a diagonal red and yellow stripe. The display is constructed of thick cardboard with an integrated, fold-out easel support on the reverse. No publisher, artist, or manufacturer marks are visible on the front or back.
Condition report:
The front of the display remains in good condition with strong color retention. There is minor wear and slight delamination along the bottom edge, and a faint horizontal crease is visible near the ankles. The reverse side shows significant age-related foxing and brown staining. The cardboard easel stand is present and remains functional.
