Description
An assortment of vintage salt and pepper shakers, including examples resembling mid-century miniature bottles produced by Avon. This collection features a pair of globular ruby red glass shakers fitted with silver-tone metal screw-on caps. These glass shakers are hand-inscribed in pink script, with one reading Oscar 1951 and the other Mabel 1951. Also included are cast metal shakers modeled in the form of early 20th-century touring cars, featuring a dark, weathered patina. No manufacturer marks are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The cast metal shakers show surface wear and oxidation consistent with age. The ruby glass shakers exhibit minor surface scratches and light tarnish to the silver-tone caps. The painted inscriptions are largely intact.
