Description
This cast resin wildlife sculpture features a central wolf head bust integrated into a base modeled after weathered driftwood. Three smaller wolves are situated at the base, including a reclining juvenile and two cubs tucked into a hollowed section. The piece is hand-painted in a multi-tonal palette of gray, tan, cream, and brown, with the large wolf’s eyes detailed in yellow. The back of the sculpture is molded to represent the splintered interior of a log. This design is highly characteristic of work by artist Stephen Herrero for Mill Creek Studios, though no manufacturer’s marks or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces shown.
Condition report:
The sculpture is in good overall condition. Visible wear includes small chips and paint loss on the tip of the nose of the primary wolf bust, revealing the lighter resin underneath. Light surface dust is present within the textured fur and wood grain details.
