Description
This vintage oval basin is constructed from porcelain-coated metal, commonly referred to as enamelware. The piece features a pale yellow finish on both the interior and exterior surfaces, accented by a contrasting black trim along the flared rim. The basin has a wide profile with a flat base, traditionally used for utility or as a baby bath. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the item.
Condition report:
The basin displays signs of age and significant wear consistent with utilitarian use. There are visible areas of oxidation and rust concentrated along the rim and at several points on the interior base. The enamel surface shows pitting, surface staining, and scattered minor scratches throughout.
