Description
This child’s rocking chair is constructed from solid hardwood with a medium-toned finish. The design features a seat comprised of four parallel slats and flat, rectangular armrests. The chair back consists of two upright posts supporting a single curved splat. This splat is decorated with a multi-colored circus-themed decal depicting a central clown and performing animals, including bears balancing on balls. The chair is mounted on two flat-sided wooden rockers connected by transverse stretchers. Construction includes visible screw fasteners at the primary joints. No manufacturer markings or labels are visible.
Condition report:
The item is in used vintage condition. There is significant wear, fading, and areas of loss to the decorative decal on the back splat. The wooden surfaces exhibit general scuffs, scratches, and finish loss across the seat, arms, and rockers consistent with age and use. The structural joinery appears intact.
