Description
This promotional Coca-Cola metal storage tin is designed in the form of a small picnic basket. It features a removable lid and two red-coated metal swivel handles secured with rivets. The exterior surfaces are decorated with multi-color lithographed graphics that utilize early 20th-century advertising motifs. The front panel displays a central oval portrait of a woman in a large yellow sun hat holding a Coca-Cola bottle, flanked by an illustration of a contour bottle and a vertical red banner with the Drink Coca-Cola logo and the text Delicious and Refreshing. The lid depicts a woman in period dress reclining and holding a glass. The interior of both the tin and the lid is finished in a bright gold-tone. This item is a late 20th-century collectible reproduction.
Condition report:
The tin is in good condition. There is light surface wear and minor scratching on the lithographed graphics consistent with age and handling. Minor oxidation and darkening of the metal are visible around the edges of the lid and the upper rim of the base. The interior is clean with some light scuffing on the bottom surface.
