Description
Produced by the Mosser Glass Company, this jadeite green pressed glass covered dish is designed in the classic hen-on-nest form. The lid is modeled as a nesting hen with intricate molded feathering, a fanned tail, and a distinct comb. The corresponding base is shaped as a basket, featuring a woven texture on the exterior wall and a decorative scrolled rim. A raised embossed capital letter M is visible on the interior center of the base bowl.
Condition report:
The item is in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor manufacturing mold seams and straw marks are visible, which are standard for this type of pressed glassware.
