Description
A two-piece fairy lamp, also known as a glimmer or courting light, manufactured by the Mosser Glass Company. The set is composed of a dome-shaped shade with an open top and a flared, scalloped base. The item is constructed from pressed amber glass featuring an all-over diamond point pattern and finished with a heavy marigold iridescent coating. This iridization produces a multi-colored metallic sheen with visible highlights of purple, blue, and gold. The interior of the base features a molded maker mark consisting of a stylized capital letter M with a V-shape above it, identifying it as a product of Mosser Glass.
Condition report:
The item appears to be in good condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to the pressed glass body or the delicate scalloped edges of the base. The iridescent finish is well-preserved and consistent across both pieces.
