Description
A collection of vintage Topps (T.C.G.) non-sport trading cards featuring scenes and characters from the 1974 Planet of the Apes television series. The cards are constructed from standard matte cardstock with color photographic fronts and narrative text on the reverse. One visible card back, number 23 titled The Key, includes a plot summary mentioning the characters Virdon and Burke, confirming the television series tie-in. The reverse also features a puzzle piece segment, noted as No. 6 of Puzzle A, and indicates a complete set consists of 66 cards. Printed marks include T.C.G. PRTD. IN U.S.A. and a copyright date of 1967 for Apjac Productions and 20th Century Fox Film Corp. Visible titles on card fronts include Gorillas Catch On! and A Fateful Noise!. The collection is housed in two clear plastic hinged storage cases.
Condition report:
The cards are in ungraded, raw condition. They exhibit signs of age-related wear including minor corner softening, light edge wear, and occasional surface marks. No significant creasing or tearing is visible on the cards shown.
