5.28.26 MAY ANTIQUE & GLASS AUCTION
Lot 428:
Description
A pair of large Hollywood Regency style table lamps featuring iridescent blue carnival glass bodies. Each lamp consists of a blown-molded glass globe with a faceted, geometric upper section and a lobed, teardrop-shaped lower section. The glass displays a turquoise base color with a multi-colored pearlescent sheen. The glass bodies are accented with applied cast metal star-shaped floral motifs and scrolling wirework. The lamps are mounted on decorative cast metal bases with an antiqued bronze-tone finish. Above the glass globe is a tapered, fluted metal column topped with a foliate-style cap. One lamp socket is marked LEVITON. The lamps are equipped with brown plastic-coated cords and two-prong plugs. No shades or harps are included.
Measurements: Dimensions not provided.
Condition report:
The glass bodies appear to be in good condition with no visible cracks or large chips. The metal components show an aged patina with surface dust and minor wear to the finish. One lamp retains several faceted clear glass pendant prisms hanging from the foliate cap, while the second lamp is missing all its prisms. The electrical components are vintage and untested; professional rewiring is recommended for safety.
