A shield-shaped highway marker sign representing the Kansas section of US Route 66. The sign is constructed of heavy-gauge steel with a porcelain enamel finish. The face features a glossy white background with black graphics and borders. The layout includes the state name KANSAS oriented vertically on the right side, the letters U S positioned centrally, and large numerals 66 on the left. The sign is equipped with three brass-toned mounting grommets. The reverse side is finished in a matching white coating with no manufacturer marks, dates, or other inscriptions visible.
