Description
This is a die-cut highway shield sign for US Route 66 in Missouri. The piece is constructed from heavy-gauge steel finished with a white and black porcelain enamel. It features the traditional cutout shield shape used historically for US highways. The face of the sign displays a large number 66 on the left, the letters U and S stacked in the center, and the word MISSOURI oriented vertically along the right side within a black border frame. Three brass-grommeted mounting holes are present: one on the left point and two on the right corners. The reverse side is finished in a uniform white porcelain enamel showing a slight orange peel texture. No manufacturer marks or date stamps are visible. This item is a high-quality modern reproduction of historical roadside signage.

Condition report:
Very good to excellent overall condition. The porcelain enamel maintains a high gloss surface. Minor surface scuffs and light scratches are visible under direct light. A few small dark firing specks are present in the enamel finish, which are characteristic of the porcelain firing process. The brass grommets are clean and show no signs of corrosion. The edges are clean with no significant porcelain loss or rust.
