Description

This collection includes an assortment of vintage hand tools accompanied by a rectangular wooden storage chest. Notable items in the group include a four-way cross socket wrench featuring a General Electric (GE) logo and the inscription Electronic TUBES, used for the maintenance of vacuum tube equipment. Also present is a silver-toned metal clamping tool marked with the name STERLING within a rectangular border. The lot contains a large, crescent-shaped blade with a Y-handle, common to leatherworking head knives or kitchen mezzalunas. Other mechanical tools include a heavy, T-shaped rusted iron multi-tool with a square socket and a forked claw, a cast-metal funnel-shaped tool, and a small metal pulley block. The collection further includes various hand implements such as standard scissors, heavy-duty wire snips, surgical-style clamping forceps, a knurled handle probe, and a short hacksaw blade. The wooden chest is finished with a dark stain and features a hinged lid.

Condition report:

The items are in used, vintage condition. Several metal tools exhibit significant surface oxidation and heavy rust. The wooden chest shows age-related wear including surface scratches, chips to the finish, and splitting along the base. The working condition of all mechanical parts is untested.
